It wasn't that he was let go - it was how he was let go. Seem to recall it being fairly underhanded and lacking transparency. Dungy was clearing his office late Sunday evening after being informed that same night. There was some strong animosity there initially - perhaps some of that has cleared.

If anyone knows anything about Dungy at all, they would know Dungy is not the type of guy to hold grudges.
