In a vacuum, sure. But his history and VA Tech's means he's not going anywhere.

I see Beamer getting "Bowdened," if things don't improve in the next two seasons.

Absolutely. But there's a difference between putting him on the hot seat after one losing season and three in a row.

Phillip Fulmer would beg to differ.

And VA Tech would be smart to take a look at how well that move worked out for Tennessee.

2006 - 9-4 (Fulmer)

2007 - 10-4 (Fulmer)

2008 - 5-7 (Fulmer)

2009 - 7-6 (Kiffin)

2010 - 6-7 (Dooley)

2011 - 5-7 (Dooley)

2012 - 5-7 (Dooley)

2013 - 5-7 (Jones)

2014 - 7-6 (Jones)

Agree. After looking up his record, which includes more accomplishments than Beamer's (i.e. a national title), I was amazed that he got fired.

A couple years out of date on the matter, but still relevant.

It was reminiscent of how the Bulls used to play – getting a flock of Florida athletes, finding ways to get them in space and letting them play – so more spread principles seem like a good idea.

Yeah, doesn't that seem like a good idea?

Frankly, the idea of a complicated offense to create opportunities to confuse the defense by having players on offense execute precisely and make great decisions sounds like the kind of offense you put in place at a school where you have highly intelligent athletes that maybe aren't quite as athletic as their opponents.  Some school like, I don't know, Stanford.  What makes anyone think that should work at a school like USF?

Yes, I know... :icon_deadhorse:
