I just want to point out we have some jacked up players joining the program.  Eric Dungy (Oregon) sporting some pretty nice biceps for receiver and also AJ Legree (Kentucky) there.

And here is Eric Lee who has been with the program but with that frame he has filled out.

Eye Test

I think most of the freshman LBs Taggart brought in (Bayes Jackson Holman Brown) are already bigger stature guys than existing roster guys.  Taggart expecting LBs to be punishers in the middle and on the edge for sure if his recruiting is saying anything.  I'm thinking I'm going out there today to see full pads action.

Everybody looking beefy in full pads.  Intimidation factor check.

Wow...Eric Lee has packed on some serious muscle.  I hear reports he's really tearing it up at camp, which is very encouraging.  We have a few DE's in the NFL, so let's hope a few on this team have eyes on that prize.

Eric Lee is a beast.  We have some DE's that can make a splash it's just nobody has heard of them yet.  Also nobody has reported or asked Taggart if Tre Griffin is permanently moving to RB from FS.  All of this camp so far has him in a White Jersey taking handoffs.  G. Auman used to catch all this little stuff.

Has anyone seen Daniel Perry out there in the past couple of days? Lee looks ripped, but Perry is the most intriguing DE player imo. He has the potential to be huge since the man is 6'7".

I got him on my YouTube going against Gudmunsson in 1on1s. He looks ok but he's no Jpp. Bronson and Lee are strong. Got Mathies excited at least. Eric Lee bull rush big Jeremi Hall nicely.

Now THASS what I'm talkin 'bout.  I loves me some big uglies in the trenches.

But what I can't tell is what it means good D and bad O v. good O and bad D? Most likely it means some better players and some weaker players. Can't wait to see how these guys do against competition.

Is it just me, or does the pace seem a little lackadaisical?

This is a pass rush drill for technique purposes only.  D'line know what's coming, so O'line is already handicapped before the snap comes.  I think you'll see Daniel Awoleke do a spin move on Knox in there which is pretty snazzy but again, they are supposed to be learning how to shed their guy or just leverage him.  I'm no expert though.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
