And schools like FAU and FIU have had great baseball for years. I can remember being in elementary school and going to watch a top25 FAU team while eating a Publix sub with my pops in Boca Raton. They've always had great baseball down there, not sure why we can't snag those kids to come here though.

Having played AAU baseball in Tampa, I will say that Tampa has some of the best baseball talent in the country. It is usually Miami and Tampa teams competing in the upper ranks of AAU national tournaments. There is no reason why we should not be at least a regional NCAA qualifier each and every year with just home grown kids.
