When they sold the "Big East" brand, did they keep the tournament?

The AAC tournament will be in Memphis; all 10 teams in the league will go, with teams ranked 7-10 in the standings playing in the first round and the top six teams getting a bye to the quarterfinals. I know reading is not your strong suit. Only 10 teams make the AAC tourney. Most other conferences let every team play in their respective tournaments. Got me, but I thought the 10 team thing was going to continue beyond this season.

I assume that means the AAC hasn't made its plans beyond this year public yet, but who knows.
