A Look at our commits who made all state teams, including one from 2015. Also listed 2 guys who we’re still after on all state teams. I did not go through it with a fine toothed comb so there may be others.

I'm relatively new to this board and new to following recruiting...

Does USF historically get these kinds of player? 1st, 2nd, 3rd team all state? This sounds pretty impressive....

Is 8A the best competition out for high school?

83: you're welcome.

Ness: the lists for prior years are on here somewhere. Up until recently (last year?) they only went to 6A.

They redid the classifications and they went to 8A. 8A is for schools with 2301 students or more. There's more information at floridahsfootball.com and fhsaa.org if you're interested in more specifics.

It's not nothing, but it's unfortunately probably not as impressive as it sounds to someone who doesn't follow recruiting that closely. Think of it like college to NFL - lots of all-conference or even all-american guys in college don't amount to much as pros, this is no different. But these are still some of the guys most likely to join the team and make an impact. At least, that's how I see it. But there are a lot of posters here who follow recruiting way more closely than I do.

I think that's a reasonable look at it 83.

On the flip side, you can assume that players who are all state will put in the time it takes to be successful.

One of my friends from high school was third team all state in one of the lower classifications (I believe 3A or 4A). He went on to Harvard and is now working in a multimillion dollar hotel brokerage business after a successful stint at Raymond james for three years or so.
