that it is a lot more enjoyable to watch now. The last two years have been terrible. The passion was lost it seemed. Now I notice Lattimore, White, CWT getting animated and being vocal out on the field. We have not had that since Leavitt days. Now we see their passion a lot more. Also, the defense is all over the field which is great to see. Nothing worse than seeing USF lose 42-35 during the Holtz New Error. Houston and UL scored a lot but they have been doing that to everyone. Our defense is still getting the pressure on those top QB's like O Korn and Bridgewater. Last season, the defense was nonexistant. Cosh messed the whole thing up. Big Chuck B has the defense playing hard. I am going to enjoy watching the rest of the season knowing that our offense should be much improved with White in there.

Just to keep it real, Rice, Temple and Memphis all held Houston to less than our 35 points ... With Temple and Rutgers doing the same to L'ville.

To be fair. Houston is a much better team on offense after O'Korn took over. Their previous QB got injured, so O'Korn got thrown into the fire. As Jim Lighthall was saying. Both Houston and UL have been scoring a lot of points. If it makes you feel better, UL lit up UCF' defense for much of that game. It took UL fumbling the ball away to allow UCF to come back and beat them.

What game would you say O'Korn took over in? Because in the 3 games you're claiming the other QB was running the offense for, he threw 30+ times in.

he got hurt in the temple game. he was 6 of 17 for 72 yards

true freshman o'korn took over in the 2nd quarter. they settled for 4 FGs 25 yards or shorter.

next game was Rice which was true freshman's first start ever and it was on the road.

memphis held UCF to fewer points and ranks #20 in total defense.

we don't have a top 25 defense yet but they are playing much better and much harder then they ever did under Holtz.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
