So McNeese State Payday (415,000) + FAU Payday (150,000)  + Skip Holtz salary this year (500,000) + USF AD Doug Woolard's Salary (500,000) = 1,565,000  which is probably more than half of the Big East TV money we were supposed to make this year.   Plus throw in Coach T's salary and look at the money we are pissing away.

That doesn't make me feel very good (perhaps my empty stomach).

Ponder how much people donate to the Alabama football program. Then ponder that in Alabama 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 4 children live below the poverty level.

http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2012/feb/23/poverty-florida-children-increase-census-collier/

While Fla   is better than Alabama statistically,  I still find these numbers horrific.

"Still, Florida's rate of 9 percent is below the U.S. average that 11 percent of the nation's children live in impoverished neighborhoods. That means 7.8 million children live in distressed neighborhoods out of the U.S. population of 74 million children"

It's sinful that a public school is spending this much on athletics when they aren't even in a top conference.

very good point and at some point in next 5 years usf will have to drop football if we dont move to big boyconference

That was my point. People in Alabama pour money into that football team while there are lots of social issues that aren't addressed. Maybe they do it for pride, it takes their minds off living conditions, rooting for the nation's best team.

Eat more lead paint chips and get away from college sports fan forums.  Volunteer at the local shelter and give your money to the less fortunate.  Just move on,  your shtick is old and tired.

You're the closest thing to a Rutgers fan I've seen on here and that's saying a lot. I'd bet you haven't volunteered or given a dime to anything or anyone. Total selfish, self involved, opinionated, inconsiderate, egotistic, troll. Hop on the Rutgers bandwagon, you'd be at home from what everyone on here writes about them.
