taggart made the same mistake as  skippy

 

he didnt recruit a qb

 

he should have loaded this team with with top juco players

 

Loading a team with JUCO players doesn't seem like the best way to rebuild a program.

 

that's what bill snyder does at kansas state. has worked for him for decades. leavitt always filled in the gaps with some good juco talent.

 

J Williams, JPP, Andre Hall, etc.

 

 

I agree with filling gaps, but "loading the team" seems to imply signing a lot more JUCO players than just filling gaps.

 

I think he means that there are a lot of gaps on this team to fill so maybe loading it is not such a bad idea if he wants a quick turnaround.

 

 

 

My understanding is that this is a complex offense. Its going to take time for some to master. having a JUCO come in for a year or two does what?

 

I guess you don't see the problems on defense? starting a top notch juco QB with as much experience in the system as a senior walk-on might benfit us as well.
