When Harbaugh visited camp they talked about the history of Bulls football. Alumni Kawika Mitchell visited recently. Kawika had a major impact on the program in my opinion. Had a great time talking with the fellas last night in Vero Beach. Willie Taggart has the USF Bulls Football... http://t.co/X0CJ33bTF6— Kawika Mitchell (@KawikaMitchell) August 17, 2013 Some interesting dialogue on Facebook linked in tweet. Shawn Hay giving Kawika a hard time - worth reading. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=418446244941657&id=280584365394513

The little things matter more than you can imagine— USF Football (@USFFootball) August 17, 2013 2- You have to have trust. The number one thing he can attribute championships to is trust amongst his teammates.— USF Football (@USFFootball) August 17, 2013 3-Embrace the Suck. Yeah it's hot out there and you're tired, but if you can embrace it, you'll be that much better than the next guy.— USF Football (@USFFootball) August 17, 2013

Think it would be great to have JPP come in, too, but I know those guys are busy getting ready. Kids love to see the guys that "made it" come back & talk/give advice. Love the "embrace the suck" comment, probably timely about right now in camp.

I remember one day a couple of years ago standing near the reception desk in the front of the athletics building, and a guy walks up, and told the receptionist that his name was Dyral McMillan and he was here to see Coach Holtz. I realized that no one around me (and it was about 5 athletics employees) had any idea who he was .... so after Dyral headed up to the football office I gave those 5 employees one of my 5 cent history lessons. Those around me were all pretty young and none had been with USF for too long, so I understand why they didn't know him, but it was also good to learn. You look at a program like Miami, where the past players take such an interest in being active and involved, hopefully we can build that culture among our former players. For those on here who have only been following USF for a couple years, Dyral was USF's first 1,000 yards in a season rusher. I believe Andre Hall is the only other one to pass the 1,000 yard mark (Andre did it twice).
