USF leadership in new conference

USF President Judy Genshaft, whose term as chair of Big East executive committee ends 6/30, will remain on American (AAC) exec. committee.

 

 

This means one of two things:

1. We aren't chair-worthy leaders in this conference. This is a bad thing. USF, with a top 3 budget in the conference, doesn't have this significant leadership role? Why?  

 

or 

 

2. Put on your tin foil hats... there's something going on. Maybe the other schools don't trust the "original 3" and don't trust us with the reigns. Maybe Judy didn't pursue because she knows something we don't. 

 

Which one?

Her term just ran out. It's a two-year term. I think she's fine having someone else chairing. Not that much to it.

Better if she isn't in a chair position. Makes it easier to bolt if we get the invite.

The quote says she WILL remain on the executive committee. To me that means either she will continue her role but on the AAC committe, or her term will end as scheduled but she will continue to serve as a member of the new board. Not seeing anything wrong here.
