And here's some more intrigue. Where's Billreef at? He usually catches this stuff?

@Lineup_Guy:  Just get off the phone wit #USF and I got a lot more to think about before I make dis happen tomorrow

That tweet was from today (7/30) about 4 hours ago. About 14 hours prior to that he said he was about 80% sure what he was going to do and he was retweeting stuff from Marshall fans.

So...USF is not just final five...it sounds like we're final TWO.

Still odds against the Bulls I imagine but it's going to be close.

Look at me twitter stalking high school kids. Yipe. Need to take a break, lol.

If Bayes will be a WR, and we have a decent shot at Bronson, we may not be hot after this WR.

But someone mentioned Bayes may play another position, so maybe we're still looking to pick up a WR or 2.

Bayes will probably end up at OLB

I saw that earlier, but thought you were kidding.  He's listed at 6'3", 185...so he looks, on paper, like a prototype WR.

We will see.....

He projects on the defensive side of the ball either at safety or OLB with his frame he can easily grow into a OLB. Either way I think he's bound for the defensive side of the ball. His ball skills aren't WR quality IMO.

Everyone's saying Marshall. I think he was trying to make it sound like we making a last minute offer.

I have in-laws in WV.  Huntington is a tired looking city, and 90% of the WV population hates Marshall (Go 'Eers!).  But, they have a rabid fan base, talented QB and love Florida kids. Could be a good place for him to land (I'm sure they showed him plenty of Randy Moss footage, to get him leaning).

More like updates on Aaron Dobson looking to possibly already start as a rookie for the Patriots...but yeah Marshall could be a good fit.

Self-serving speculation about a kid making up phone conversations that we're now going to conveniently pretend didn't happen aside, I think USF is in it and I think they made a push to get him to consider them. They reached out to him to make sure they cleared up the previous misunderstanding for a reason. If they didn't care, they wouldn't have done that.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
