Wouldn't be an issue if Teaf hadn't committed the error in the first place.  That's the thing with this team, they live on the razors edge.

Side note: can someone explain to me the strategy behind a lead-off bunt?

 

The strategy is that you are betting your batter is faster and can reach 1st before their fielder can make the throw.  I think its stupid to use it as often as we do, we're not consistent enough in our small-ball play to be doing it so often. If we could play small ball well and plate a run or two every inning doing so, it would be legit, but we're not.  VD5 hates our bunting also.

Oh and ND just brought in their closer who has an era of 0.25 in 36.0 innings (only 1 earned run).
