But let's look at it this way. The SEC didn't start off as the SEC. It was spun off twice and started with a new name each time. Its what you do that gives value, not what you're called. Once this is accepted we can build on the strong base that has developed....With luck a lot of lessons were learned..... I spent several years organizing companies...fixing power and responsibilities.issues .I went thru three finance Directors in 18 months..... All companies go thru development phases...inovation, consolidation,decay,,,,this process repeats....with luck phase 3 decay is a short one...GM, CRYSLER are prime examples... the clean outs start at the bottom and work their way to the level required...all the way to the top, HP has gone theu several as well as Apple.. HP is on going as well as Yahoo... Thus ....USF and the Big East are going thru the decay cycle.....The right messages are there...no one is going to save us from ourselves. What we NEED to do is support USF and our new conference....In time when we are sucessfull again we can all say I remember when thing were realy bad...For me it was when WE had no football program... Go Bulls You ever get to the DC area and want to be a guest speaker in my strategy course, let me know. Rule 1---must be hired by CEO/--irrelevant where you are in the org chart.. Rule 2--You can only get 4 of the 5 directors pxxxxed of at you at one time... Rule 3--Report to CEO and sit in on board meetings....listen-observe power structure..
