I think beggars can't be choosy...we can get him cheap and he would be a bigger hire splash then Houston "Old Tread" Nutt or Big Willie Styling Taggert. I hope to god we hire him.

Even beggars can choose to not hire a proven loser.

Auburn proved with a certain hire that proven losers can win a title with special players.....I would think Zook would learn from his mistakes. I watch his breaking down of plays on cbssports and he has a great football mind. Dude is passionate and I would send him into any kids living room to sell his NFL/College experience and track record getting talent to the NFL.

Illinois already gave him that opportunity. Again he got tremendous talent to come to Champaign and again he failed miserably.

Good point....CJL had some questionable coaching decisions also, but I will still stay with Zook as my choice...we are going to bleed out recruits fast if we don't sell our program! What good is a top ranked QB when he is the only solid recruit?! We need STUDS all over our team...Tavon Austin stud.....Ray Graham stud......Sanu.....stud......we need these players...not just Freakshow and a bunch of 2-3 stars.....

Auburn cheated, it's coming out now. Also couldn't win without Cam, Fairley, and Dyer.

Zook made a Iilinois a joke, we don't have the fan base or capital to withstand that for a few years. We need to get this right the second time and get back on track.

What are the great talents he brought to IL ?

Jeff Allen, 2nd round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs

AJ Jenkins, 1st round pick by the San Francisco 49ers

Mikel Leshoure, 2nd round pick by the Detroit Lions

Corey Liuget, 1st round pick by the San Diego Chargers

Whitney the Mercilus, 1st round pick by the Houston Texans

Tavon Wilson, 2nd round pick by the New England Patriots

and

Arrelious Benn

Granted the Big 10 kicked his teams ass....but if we get this level of talent in the NewBigUsa, we should at least beat UCF no?

I'd be fine letting him recruit 2 years with a star assistant that can take over with a stocked shelf of talent. I mean no one expects too much the next two years
