I disagree the talent is bad, just not as bad as the coaching.

We will agree to disagree. The bad coaching has affected the talent to where it's really hard to tell.

True, but look at these guys, they don't even show any individual moments...none! Especially on D.

What did you guys expect? We were playing with our freshman 3rd string QB, who is no better than a walk-on.

I think we have the talent to compete in the be. We have wasted players by playing them out of position and our coaches are morons

Hopefully you're not talking about Floyd ... who was #2 all year until this game! Floyd should have started, imo, it sucks what the coaching staff did to him. He showed some flashes ... let's let him get some good game experience playing out the string, and hopefully he'll roll into camp next year (hopefully with new coaches) and have a solid inside track.

I had no problem with Floyd. He actually played ok considering everything. Lets see how he develops over the last two games (about the only reason I can think to watch the games).

Yes, he was our 3rd string QB going into the game. He showed some promise, but he's a freshman. This game was a long-shot win and it showed. I'm not going to be the fan that makes excuses anymore (those fans are losers). The better team won today.

I'm not going to disagree with you about the long shot win or who the better team was. However, regarding the QBs, Floyd was #2 all year, from camp where he was named #2, and before every game, he was #2 on the depth chart. Until BJ goes down and Eveld takes the first snap (who was previously being redshirted). What changed in the week before the 10th game to where Floyd wasn't all of a sudden ready to start?

No one's making excuses .. However, if you bring up walk-ons, Eveld was originally one, until he got one riding the wave from the win at Miami in 2010. Floyd has always been a scholarship QB, and he's a redshirt freshman ... he's been with the program for almost 2 years now.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
