Alterio's goal was his 5th of the season. He's a sophomore this year. I hope that he can turn into the scorer that we need. In the Louisville game, there were a couple times that he was in the right position, but just didn't finish.

Big win for the men's soccer team.

2-1 against the #15 team in the country. Our final regular season game will be at DePaul who is 0-5-1 in Big East play. If we beat them, I think we're in the Big East Tournament.

We have a lot of injuries that can be used as the excuse for the mid-season collapse. The team isn't very consistent, either. There are some nights where they all seem to be on the same page and others where they look like a team that hasn't played together.

I did some more research on the Big East Tourney. Four teams from each division get in. Here's the scenario that gets us in:

USF: Win final game against DePaul

2 of the below 3 must be true:

Villanova: Winless in final two games. A draw in each of the games is fine

Cincy: Loss in final game

St Johns: Loss or draw in final game

This scenario is very doable with the exception of Nova losing their final game. They play Pitt who hasn't won or drawn a single Big East game

The top FIVE teams in each divison qualify for the Big East tournament, not top 4 as stated above.

If USF beats DePaul, I would think their chances of making the Big East Tournament are good!
