Its actually a conspiracy by ESPN to embarrass us on national television. Any other game and its a fumble for six. I'm telling you guys. I've seen some things man, and some stuff. I wouldn't recommend it.

I am still trying to understand the logic of not being able to advance a muffed punt.

Same here. I agree that it was a muff, but why do we have to play it where we pick it up?

That's the rule. Why they came up with that rule? I don't know.

I think if the player didn't have any sense to call a fair catch and muffs while being slammed, it should be a fumble.. just my opinion.

Agree. Rule drives me nuts. That happened to us last year as well.

In the Giants game last night, Carolina muffed a punt that was returned for a TD by the Giants. The TD was disallowed and the ball was placed where the muff was recovered. Looks like you can't advance a muffed punt in the NFL either.
