Does Ray Jay validate that the actual ticket holders are in the seats?

I'm venting..

This evening my section quickly became overrun with folks not owning seats in the section. Some were students and others were from other sections. In and of itself it's not a big deal if the seats are unoccupied; however, some actual ticket holders would show up to find their seats occupied. The problem tonight was that the squatters were drunken idiots ruining the experience for the rest of us. The ushers would run the squatters off and without fail the squatters would be back in another seat in a matter of minutes. It quickly became clear that these individuals were passing a single or group of tickets around amongst their friends to get them into the section. Is USF tasked with monitoring this or is Ray Jay?

Oh my god, how could dedicated fans dare to occupy the seats of privileged seat holders who might have to ask them to move over so that they could park their royal, seat owning, behinds in the previously empty seats. How inconvenient for the the royal class. Edited by Bullwinkle

So why didn't you have your royal behind in the seat, when the game started? I can't imagine how horrific it must have been for you to have to speak to the "great unwashed".

Grow up.

Some people actually donate and then pay a lot of money to have a seat and some expected organization. The fact that someone moves down to someone else's seat doesn't make them a better fan - just a rule breaker.

Sorry, it's beyond annoying to have to "ask" for others to get our of seats you've paid for.

TSA should do better.

They broke a rule? So that they could support the team? And because they couldn't afford a more expensive seat, they should be relgated to 2nd class status. Sounds like Edwardian England where the servants could only exist downstairs. Kind of the new American meme.

wow, i've done it it many times and was always greeted cordially and with total cooperation. Guess it's all in the way you ask.Actually had Carl Bernstein move down to grab an unoccupied seat next to me at a Mets-Braves ST game. Should I have asked for his ticket stub? Edited by Bullwinkle

I guess it's purely a low class move understood by such.

But it seems they have been killing the value of being a donor and paying a higher price for a ticket.

That opens the door for people that buy cheap tickets and assume expensive seats with no moral conscience.
