Not only has he never played there but bj won't even be able to see over him to throw down the tight end slants or dump passes over the middle.putting a rookie on the hot corner - doom but i hope i am wrong

It shows me that the coaches dont have the confidence in edwards or Martin to step in at guard

I cant believe they are goign to play him there this year. Kid has a good shot at the NFL, there arent any 6'7" guards playing. He has a tackles body, but maybe like dausfbulls11 says they dont have conifdence in the other guys to step up. Still you want your best guy at LT.

As opposed to the instant negative nelly repsonse. Could it just be that the new LT is better than Popek? But Popek is better than the LG?

More likely that the new LT is better than Edwards, but the new LT can't play guard and Popek can.

Especially in college the top five OL are going to play, even if they have to move them around. A little less flexibility in the NFL.

Regardless,we have a pretty big OLine, don't we?

Not buying the cross training bit. Daneous is only used at guard. Same goes for quinterrius only at tackle. So now we have a center whos never played a snap at center,a guard who is a left tackle, and a left tackle whos only played 5a downs when popek hurt his ankle. Willing to bet popeks enthusiasm is in the gutter right next to edwards. Moving a guy with 30+ starts from one of the most important spots on the field out of his comfort zone? Qbs rarely get hurt by nose tackles rushing up the middle. They do get blasted by6'6" defensive end that run 4.9 forty times coming hard off the corner. Popek held his own against patriots first round pick chandler jones last year.why not just insert mr williams at left guard. Is it me or does that makeTOO MUCH SENSE. ATTENTION SKIP!!!

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
