Greg Auman has done a number of posts in his blog on softball recruiting. I just don't have a good recollection of them. I seem to remember him mentioning some players who gave us very early commitments and some who had good HS batting stats. Perhaps, he will read this and give us some input.

He likes to recruit locally. Look at the roster, plenty of talent in state. And if you get them, often times they have bright futures and florida prepaid, which allows him to spend more money on a handful of out of area top recruits...

our coach gets it and understands how to play the recruiting game

He's the coach for the USA National Team. He should be able to go up to EVERY softball player in the country and say: "Yo you wanna represent your country and win international medals? Come to USF."

How would he say that? I think USF has one player on that team, OU has more, no connection to Ken... he can't promise things like that because he'd never be able to deliver.

Gotta get some hitters. It will take time, right now, Ken is playing the speed game because he hasn't been able to lure the big hitters. The game has a lot to do with timing as well. For what ever reason, this is probably one of our worst hitting teams, but great pitching... if we could get both in line at the same time, we'd have something.

If they can make the team and get this type of experience, they are going to be even better. Hopefully they make the cut.

Looks like we have some good players coming in. Sounds like Litchfield is a power hitter, which will be helpful
