If things stand as above and we play UConn, at least we have recently beaten them. Just seems like no USF team wins a game that the absolutely must win. Maybe these aren't really MUST win games since they are in the tourney. I know there was the play in game for mens round ball. And the soccer team made it to the elite 8. And the girls softball team isn't done yet. Maybe it just seems worse after losing 2 that we shoulda won.

Depends on what the MUST WIN is for. For example, these baseball games were MUST WIN in order to win the regular season title and have any shot of an at-large NCAA bid. The West Virginia basketball game (at the time it was played) was considered a MUST WIN to secure our spot in the tournament, luckily we survived the selection process after sweating bullets. Sure soccer made the elite 8, but we also lost in the quarter-finals of the Big East tournament (granted the ref gave that game to Villanova).

Point is that the goal is to win the Big East, and it always seems we come up short (see entry for VOODOO FIVE). Making the NCAA tournament is nice, but we need some hardware.

UConn defeats Notre Dame 4-0

Notre Dame is locked in as the #7 seed.

USF defeats WVU. We're looking at the 3 or 4 seed. If we are the 3 seed we play at 10 AM on Wednesday. If we are the 4 seed we'll play at 5 PM. Either way I'll be there cheering them on. Hopefully we get a big Pinellas County group to come out too!
