The political heat on the administration, externally and internally, will not be dying down anytime soon. My sources tell me this is a full-blown vendetta.

I don't get why J.D. hates USF.

By the way people, I have a minor mockery campaign running. If you want to join in, just send a box of Cracker Jacks to Alexander's office. I've had two people give him a box. One of them saw it presented to him.. Apparently Alexander was as red as a tomato over it.

whats the story behind that?

Well, usually there is a small prize in a cracker jack box. The idea is to send a message to Alexander that he is using tax payer money for a prize for himself, because chances are alexander will get a position with the Polytechnic in some area, where he will likely make six figures. i want to send as many boxes as possible, one, for him to tick him off, and two, to send that message. We can't vote him out at the ballot box, so this is my idea to show displeasure with him. It's up to you.

You are thinking way too small. Alexander's family company, Alico, owns most of the undeveloped land in and around the proposed Polytechnic site. Six figure salary is chump change to this robber baron. Just some more crony capitalism practiced by people we voted in office to look out for the tax payers and citizens. Unfortunately, many are looking to line their own pockets and could care less about what is right.

True, I forgot about that.

Regardless, this is why I'm starting this cracker jack thing.

This is why I moved out of Polk County (though I still work there). The good ole boy system is alive and well there. **** that guy. Isn't he head of some board that control finances to state universities? Someone had said he has everyone by the short ones clamoring about how he'll see to it they don't get their precious funding if he doesn't get his way.

Conflict of interest much?

I hope USF tells him to **** off, and demand all of their money back. And we'll build our pharmacy school or whatever in Sarasota or Tampa and they can have fun trying to get accredited for years.
