Pead scares me.  Hopefully they come in way overconfident.

Didn't he play against us last year? I don't remember him doing that much.

might have had to do with out NFL interior d-lineman and NFl linebacker.

Good point. I am hoping that we continue to see what we saw against UConn with an abundance of blitzing and stacking the line of scrimmage.

I'm with you on that.

I see only three challenges

1. Offense

2. Defense

3. Special Teams

Looks about right to me with the main concerns of offense and defense

USF will have a tough time beating Cincinnati this weekend....

Isaiah Pead is averaging 100 yards a game. USF defense against BCS Opponents top RBs:

  • Notre Dame: 117 yards (Wood 21 att / 104 yds)
  • Pittsburgh: 307 yards (Graham 26 att / 226 yds)
  • UConn: 118 yards (McCombs 32 att / 130 yds)

Isaiah Peed is arguably the best RB in the Big East. If USF can not stop Pead then expect another long day for USF during homecoming.

One way to keep Pead off the field is to convert on 3rd down or just avoid it all togehther.

BCS Opponents convert 3rd down 44% of the time against Cincinnati's 3rd down Defense:

  • Tennessee: 10-13
  • NC State: 6 - 16
  • Louisville: 4 - 16

USF 3rd down conversion on average converts 28% of their 3rd downs against BCS opponents:

  • ND 2-14
  • Pitt 6-15
  • UConn 3-11

We sucked in 3rd down conversations in the last 2 games as depicted in your post.  G-D bless us for homecoming!
