Bunch of grown men playing power games that affect young mens lives. It's not funny, it's not cute and it needs to be over. I'm ready to start calling congressmen and Senators if they don't quit this stupid gamesmanship. I suggest everyone do the same. It has been mildly dramatic and is now just ridiculous. Sorry bout the rant but this is really old.

Calling congressmen isn't going to help, and they have much more important things to do. I don't really agree this is any great tragedy for the kids. Historically, it is exceeding rare for any school to move down in status. There is almost always a move up, unless the school is obviously in way over their head. It's frustrating, but these things always take a long time to develop. The more time it takes, the better off USF will be.

How many schools have moved up in classification? How many schools have increased enrollment?Something has got to change. I think this is simply a by-product of the evolution of college football.Bill, as far as messing with a kids life, I think he's going to get a good education payed for by an NCAA FBS school. Obviously no one gives a flying fox what is best for the student athlete, somebody needs to remind them with a garden hose.

Large schools are driven by money, enrollment and academic prestige much more than student education. Athletes the recruit to build athletic prestige aren't taken advantage of any more than the bright minds they recruit to build academic prestige. The well being of the students ranks low on the totem pole.

State and Local Legislators preening without a single thought about how it affects the students. They are willing to lose accreditation and are still considering a split even though the students have voted against it twice.
