Many of them are no longer with the team. That should probably be the biggest discussion about this class.  :-/

Maybe that is why we didnt do too well on the field last season. I know this though, the last two classes have been pretty good, so you can expect USF to play much better in the next few years. I am getting excited about seeing the improvements of last year's class and to see how well this class does during their first year.

We lost a lot of quality players from last year's class ALREADY: Terrence Jones, C J Hunnicutt, Andre Coleman, Shadie Jones, Carlisle Johnson, Kearse and several others. If we NOW reclaculated our ranking it would be a lot worse than it was on signing day 2004.

Hopefully, just about all of our 2005 recruits will qualify and STILL be with the team a year from now.

That Terrence Jones loss still gets to me, he would have been a nice candidate to fill the hole at RB after next season.

Recruit the types of players we recruit, you're going to have attrition.

If you want players to stick around, we need to be recruiting more players with things like "National Honor Society" or "Honor Roll" in their profile.

I didn't see as many of those as I would have liked in this year's collection of recruits.

Probably the worst recruiting class we have had at USF.

Only 6 players left on the team.

That is probably one of the top 3 biggest reasons for last season's disappointing record.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
