IF and WHEN we build an OCS it should be named after Lee Roy... after all who else will the mythical USF OCS be named after  ???

Just announced at the memorial service by Judy Genshaft.  Unanimous approval by the BOT.

Standing ovation by those in attendance.

Was just watching the funeral service and Judy announced that the Board of Trustees has unanimously renamed the facility the "Lee Roy Selmon Athletic Facility at the University of South Florida".

What a great honor.

The new practice facility or the athletics building... or both?

Another honor the Bulls could do for Lee Roy would be to retire his number... while he did not play here it is not uncommon for teams to do this out of respect for someone that aided their sport or program.

Of course if they did this then they would need to create a new removable banner to roll out at Ray Jay for home games... something that says Ring of Honor or something Bull related with a retired number under it.

Kind of like what other teams do with Conference or National title dates and so fourth.

Not sure. I'm thinking the building, but that also could carry over the the district as well.
