According to GA

gregauman Greg Auman

Thanks to new stadium, USF baseball ranks first in Big East, 32nd nationally in average home attendance at 1,738 per game. Thanks @andymorr

I'd like to think those number are accurate.  BUT, I counted fans at one game and came up with about 300.  The number posted in the box score was a little more than 800.  I'm thinking the season tickets issued count whether the people show or not.  And, yes, I do have nothing better to do while at a game.  It isn't like they score a lot of runs.

Its a shame the team has had a bad season the same year we opened a new stadium.

Paid attendance is usually what is counted, no matter who shows up in person.

Scheduling Elon to open up our stadium was a major mistake... based on what I have read about Elon, they are actually very good in baseball... we should had scheduled Saint Leo, UT, or Stetson.

Beng honest. I've worked at two Div I schools. If it's not football or mens basketball it's all a guesstimate. So, usually they don't count anything. They just thrown number in to give the stats services. Every schools does from what I'm told

And my guesstimate was 800 or so.  A very nice crowd in any case.
