Thought this was interesting, coach Self's (Kansas basketball coach) confirmed on his weekly radio show that if Texas left for the Pac-10 Kansas, K-State, Mizzou and ISU were going to join the Big East. He goes on to talk about Big East inviting TCU is a smart idea to protect its football playing members in case Big 10 decides to expand...again.

Now, what's interesting is there was a tidbit in the Statesman.com by Kirk Bohls saying:

I keep hearing Kansas is talking to the Big East. Who would blame the Jayhawks for looking since they were nearly left out in the last realignment merry-go-round?[/

I think Kansas would be an excellent number 10 for the Big East becuase of their basketball program and descent football program.

It's more likely that Texas would just go independent.

tcu would leave bigeast in 2013 if big ten came a callling

There will will be more realignment talk to come this spring and summer. The ACC still might do something. So should the Big East jump fast and add ucf? When there might be more accomplish programs that might be available

kansas isnt leaving big 12 to come to our rinky ding conference 2ooo miles away
