I'm here now-very few green and gold at Leonardos pizza...we have spotted one set of jorts and faded chains; oh and one mini mullet

Yes.  Unfortunately, we do have fans that come from Palatka.

Palatka is the same as Gainesville less the university.  If UF closed down, one wouldn't be able to tell the two towns apart--all the empty buildings and apartments left in Gainesville would be converted to chicken coops.

Good point.  If you removed the flagship school of the state and the main teaching hospital in the state of Florida, the town would be way more rural.  Stunning observation.

Don't dump on Palatka. It is a historical spot in the state from back when the St. Johns River was the only way to get around. Besides, they're big time enough to have an East Palatka.

And don't forget there is no sucky state university stuck in the middle of it.
