I tried to start a D-Fense chant, and a few people turned and scowled at me. I can understand being unable to stand, but to be upset because soemone's loud is ******* ridiculous. :lmaoThose poor folks are in for a long season, ain't they? Never when the ball is in play. Regardless of the score.

For the first game or two any non-student section will be dead and sitting during most of the game. As soon as we start playing real opponents the sections will liven up (especially the South endzone). So, just hang in there, it's the same every year. Guest
It was STONY BROOK.every game countsyou are a failSure, but some count more than others.I don't really care if people think I'm "a fail" because I don't stand up and yell every second of every game. That is just not very much fun.I can tell you, the Southies probably won't be in full force for WKU, FAU, or even Syracuse... if the opponent has the ball in our endzone and the game is close, we'll probably get loud then. But if the game isn't close, we'll probably just relax and enjoy the game...However, I foresee standing up and yelling for most of the Rutgers and Pittsburgh games.
