I wonder if Holtz could smooth talk this guy to USF

I saw this guy on one of those BHSN games, and he's a real weapon. He's the #2 ATH in the 2011 class, but looks like he's headed for SEC land. Would love to have him sit down with Holtz and see if they can convince him to check out USF (which I'm sure he has visited and knows about being at Plant HS).

Could be a real coup if we were to get a guy like this. Need to also go after some of his team mates, and sometimes that might help sway him.

I have been around the block a bit, and Holtz is very good communicator and he has a vision.  People want to be around that.

Get your fellow USF Alumni to care and give money to USF Athletics.  If we all work together to achieve this goal, we can build USF into a powerhouse in College sports.

Money

Commitment

Support

This site has demonstrated the strong support aspect,we just need to follow up with commitment (Doing the small things that helps USF) and then giving money.  Not much, but if we all give it grows through the multiplier of numbers.

Looking forward to great future ahead with Skip Holtz and company.

dan, there are all kinds of posts and videos about this kid on this board. Basically, we're too close for him and we're not big enough  :P

he wants to win a championship.

Wilder was never even an option for us. The kid thinks that the SEC is the end all be all conference and that's where he's going. Nevermind that his dad made a pretty good living after playing in the Big 10 (Mizzou). Wilder thinks that he's too good for a BE team and is just one of the many kids that are brainwashed into thinking the same things.

For the bright spot though there are kids like Matt Jones out there who know that you can play anywhere and still get to the NFL. Jones was quoted in an interview as saying "If you're a stud, you're a stud. You'll stand out wherever you play." or something along those lines. That line came right after Wilder told the reporter that USF isn't in the SEC that's why the elite local talent don't want to go there. There is also a big difference between Armwood and Plant kids.

what I found funny was there was another video where the interviewer asked them (wilder and jones) if they could play on the same team and wilder said something along the lines of: That would work, they could run me like 4 times and then give one off to matt.

Just struck me as funny.

Holtz should lie, lie, and lie some more like the people at ucif. Tell them that they will have a chance to play for a SEC championship in a couple of years.

Wilder is completely off the market now, after committing to FSU this afternoon.

Seems that way.

Meanwhile, his teammate Posada was wearing a USF shirt today at the school after giving a verbal to Michigan last week. So, you never really know up until signing day.
