We should be playing at least two of the three (UF, FSU, Miami) in hoops every year. There are plenty of Florida D1 schools we could play to cut down on travel costs and keep fans interested on both sides.

the best game i saw in the dome was my freshman yr

1991 fall or 1992 spring when we beat l'ville (i think it was in OT)

we went dancing that yr and the dome was packed a few times

i was spoiled thinking this would be a regular occurrence :'(

I remember that UL game too.  One of the few great ones.  UC that year was also good.

I will dig out the tape and let you know when I do.  I will look for it on Sunday.  That was back when I used to actually tape all the big games.  Cant be bothered now!

I agree the problem is that the coaches at those scjhools are NOT interested in playing in Tampa.

I will check, I know I have the UNCC game from the same year that went to overtime.  It had the exact same ending as the FSU game, It was all tied up, CHucky with the ball, held it until 5 seconds, then drove, shot, but just missed, sending the game to overtime.

I think the UL game that year we lost, I believe it was the 91-92 season that we beat ul at home. I don't think I have a tape of the 91-92 season.  FwIw - We played in front of over 10,000 fans that game.  Awesome game.  The place was electric.  So much different then the games in the past 5-7 years in the sundome.  The last time we have had 10000 fans was also vs FSU in 1997-1998 season.  Our average attendace has plummetted since that year.
