* Big South Conference game

Last season, the Seawolves won a share of the conference title with the Liberty Flames.  They did face Charleston Southern last season, losing in overtime.

Based on video that I watched, they run a 3-4 defense.  Offensively, they run a variety of formations:  I-Form, Offset-I, Shotgun, Pistol.

They return three of their top 4 receivers, one of them is Matt Brevi, an Armwood grad.

They also return their starting QB.  And while they did lose their starting RB, they didn't lose their top rushing RB.

Of their defensive losses, Tyler Santucci was the most significant, being their leading tackler.

I know they have a good lacrosse program and they are located on Long Island.

Don't know that the guys need to watch too much game film to come off with a win at this game.  But then again, we usually play to the level of an opponent, so hopefully we are prepared.

This should be a great warm up for the UF game.

Good grief...I didn't think there was a bigger cupcake than Charleston Southern, but looks like these guys are it!

One other thing worth noting:

We will be the FIRST FBS opponent in Stony Brook history.

I doubt the team takes more than one practice to prepare for Stony-Brook.  That whole week will be used to focus on the base packages we'll use against Florida.

Trust me.  Teams don't watch film and scrutinize D2 teams.  They rely on athleticism to win those games.

Note: I know they are not D2, but I don't care.  I can belittle all the 1AA teams I want!

Note 2: I know they are not 1AA and are now referred to as FCS.  That designation is retarded.  It will forever be 1AA.
