I keep a pretty close eye on walk-ons, and I can't remember him being rostered at any point in the last six years. There's a chance he could have been a practice player, but he was never on the team here.

OKAY UPDATE

The kid says he redshirted his freshman year (might have been a walkon) and then went on a 2 year mormon mission and then returned. So does anyone recognize the name from a couple years ago?

Talking to the kid he seems legit.

and no not San Fran he says South Florida

Maybe he has a speech impediment or you have a hearing problem?? ......  South-ern U-tah .... South Flo-ri-da    ;)

This kids either a no name practice squad player or just full of it. I follow BYU basketball very closely aswell and have never heard his name mentioned before at all.

This kid is a crack head - His MO is to tell girls that he is playing for the Utah Flash or Sacramento Kings or being sent to Italy to play on a D league.  His most current story is that he is trying to walk on at BYU.  He's a mess.  So hide yo wives, hide yo kids, and hide yo husbands too :) If Spencer Neilson tries to date your cousin or daughter or whomever..... just say no!
