Am I the only one that finds this depressing?  not for USF necessarily but for the guy himself.

These leagues are usually blackholes that swallow players and their careers for them to never emerge again.  Mike Ford has hit bottom when it comes to his football career.

Well, he's been headed that way for a while...sad.

why did ford fail at usf?

was it his fault?

was it the fault of leavit?

was it because of the offense we ran?

was he simply not that good?

HE failed.  Sorry, take all the blame you want and try to put it on Leavitt, or Gregory, or wherever you want, but the idiot could not stay clean.  He was given an opportunity here and consistently blew it.  He could run, but could not hold onto the ball in the field.  He could not get on the field because of his off field issues, and now he can be another guy who will talk about the days when..... and hopefully every night he goes to sleep thinking of what could have been.  Sad thing is, I am sure those thoughts are on how everyone else failed him.
