If the Bulls end up playing in the NIT do we get any home games? I would think at least one as I cannot recall any final four NIT team playing ALL of its game on the road. Maybe they do not get a 1st round game but perhaps a 2nd or 3rd round? The attendance for the last few home games has been decent.

Hard to say. Depends on seeding.

NITology.com has us as a four seed now, meaning one game. We lose out we probably don't get a home game. Win out we do.

The question then becomes will fans show. Season tickets are not required for the NIT so your basically selling in mass.

bulls are not out of the ncaa's  yet.  They are nineth in the big east and possibly could be 7th at the end of the year.  They would own the tie breaker over georgetown.

Finishing 7th in the Big East would still not guarantee the NCAA tournament to us. Georgetown has better wins than we do and they are in. We have to win out and win a couple in MSG to have a shot.

I do wonder if we did finish 7th or 8th would 1 win in the BE tournament get us in. Finishing that high would mean we get a 1st rd bye then play a lower seeded team, win that game and it's either Syracuse or Nova which would be pretty tough. That's why I would rather have us finished 9th but hey if we get the 7th spot then bring in on.

I'm kinda leaning to the theory that we get in with 1 win as a 7th seed. Let's win out and see where we are at that time.

Just to be clear, Georgetown is in. They have five wins against RPI top 25 teams, six others against other top 100 opponents. USF has two top 25 wins (one of them Georgetown) and three others against top 100. USF probably needs four more wins to be seriously considered for the NCAA tournament -- to get in with three more wins would require lots of other bubble teams to drop off badly.

Win final two regular season games and win two BE Tourney games and we have a chance, though a small one.

I don't recall reading where anybody suggested G'Town wasn't NCAAT bound. As for as Bubble teams dropping out goes...well that is the beauty of March or the nightmare for some. Teams will play themselves into the NCAAT these next 2 weeks and some will play their way out. Will USF play themselves in? We'll just have to wait and see. Need to win tonight.

It would be nice to see us in the standings ahead of GTown :)  but yes, certainly they are a lock regardless if we are ahead of them or not.
