I was at the game 10 rows back the USF bench.  Can't believe how empty the entire arena was.  Seemed like 3/4ths of he joint was bare.

I mean the center court seats were somewhat full, but we definitely had seats in between ours and the guys sitting next to us and we had AWESOME seats.  The other shocker was the Georgetown student section.  What a worthless scene that is.  They are the #7 team in the country and I aint lying.....maybe 800 kids there.  Place was bare.

I thought our student showing is pathetic, but at least we have an excuse....we sucked for 17 years.  These guys have the #7 team in the country and nobody shows up.  Comical.

meh, it is basketball, which just cannot pull people like football can.

Glad to hear the problem is not limited to USF, and even the #8 team in the country has issues pulling in a crowd.

Another thing, its WEDNESDAY!

I mean we are USF.  Probably one of the 3 worst draws in the Big East, but I was surprised.  Especially after their big win over Duke.  Place was pretty quiet.

Place was empty!

Also, consider that the arena is not on campus. Then again, they do have the Metro system.

However, Basketball is to Georgetown as Football is to USF.

Its a Wednesday night, at an off-campus arena, against an unranked opponent...

But the real reason IMHO is that Georgetown is spoiled. In their minds they expected, nay, DESERVED, to win against the lowly whipping boy biotch team of the big east. Many of them probably thought, "why bother? we play villanova in a few days, i'll go to that one because it will be close."

Mercer's double pump rama-jam with 2 seconds left and 6 points up was like a highly potent narcotic coursing through my veins. I'll be riding that high until sunday morning.

They'll go to the Nova game if they can get there. Expecting 12-18" of snow in Washington on Friday and Saturday, on top of the few inches already on the ground.

The DC metro doesn't extend into Georgetown.... big uproar back in the days when they tried to expand into G'town but the residents went against it
