Skip Holtz to be on the ESPN signing day special on Wednesday. "There will be interviews with Florida commit Ronald Powell (ATH), the nation's top-rated recruit, and head coaches Brian Kelly (Notre Dame) and Skip Holtz (South Florida)."

Nice blurb in ORL sent. on CSH's job of picking up recruiting ball from Leavitt.

Neat to have a coach who likes to talk to the media, it's gonna be huge for our national reputation in years to come. Skip may never be Bobby Bowden with his folksy approach, but he is a genuinely nice guy who the press will want to give the benefit of the doubt to. I hope he can bring in some talent, so we can excel early and take the onus off of him. He completes me.

One thing is for sure, we will be more media coverage because he has no problem talking to the press and expressing his vision.

with Leavitt, the way he built the program and his "work hard" attitude was his best attribute.  His speaking ability and engaging the media were not.

The media will love Skip.  He likes the mic and the camera.  That will be a huge asset to us as potential recruits will get to know the real Holtz and will also get to see him frequently.  Plus the national media will follow him, if for no other reason than his dad is on ESPN and everyone likes him.  Consider that even with his sylvester speaking impediment, he is still on TV.

Holtz will take us light years in the PR department.
