Yup, we NEEDED OL more than anything.  If these guys all get into USF and into our programs, that will mean more to this program than any WR.  If you can't run or protect the QB, it doesn't matter if you have 5 Randy Mosses on the field.  Keep the class small and prepare to LOAD up next season when we know what we need under the new systems.  Doesn't help to give a guy a 4 year schollie then find out he doesn't fit what you're trying to do.  Not good for you or the player.  But OL, you can't go wrong with big guys so I'm alright if this class tanks otherwise.  Without CJL, that's exactly what I expect this class to do.  Not sold Holtz is a "mega recruiter" like a Doc Holliday who can sell ice to eskimos.  Getting studs to go to Marshall?  Come on!

our recruiting class is going to be depressing

Just focus on having a solid season on the field. And our recruiting will be fine

From Herald-Tribune:

Sanders had the University of South Florida among his top three choices, along with South Carolina and West Virginia. USF’s recent firing of head coach Jim Leavitt may have influenced his decision.

The University of South Florida fired football coach Jim Leavitt after a school investigation concluded he grabbed one of his players by the throat, slapped him in the face and then lied about it.

He and teammate Brion Carnes said three weeks ago that incident might change their plans.

“Coach Leavitt was a big reason why I was considering USF,” Sanders said. “They are no longer in my top three. I knew about the investigation, but I didn't see this happening.

Brad can we merge this thread with the one in "potential recruits" please? There is some good insight on the recruiting class that we're signing in there.

I guess he wasn't sold on Holtz taking us to the promised land. Perhaps, we should have sent smazza to his house.  ;)

Go figure that Ace's dad Tracy played for Bobby Bowden, but before Spurrier's time at UF.
