Because he's a highly regarded prospect. Not high enough to warrant a spot on ESPN U or something of that nature but high enough that the general Tampa Bay area is interested. Especially with FSU as one of his main options.

Ok, but it seems like he set this up right after he was on Campus this weekend.

Would be great to see a fellow Leto alum at USF.  By far the best player to come out of LHS since Michael Jenkins.

Deering could get on ESPN if he wanted. He has offers from a BUNCH of schools nationally, he ain't just some local talent.

Don't read into every little bit.  Remember stick with facts on recruits and that will lead you to answers.  It would have taken a mind blowing, unbelieve unofficial visit, to a school mind you he's visited dozens of times before, for him to change from his current stance.  I doubt that occurred so I am guessing he'll be a seminole.

because one of the papers mentioned it like last Weds...and anyone that suggests he did this after his USF visit is reading into it too much.
