This whole coaching search and rumors have been crazy. For a school that's supposed to announce a coach tomorrow or Friday, names sure are popping up late (Whipple) and we are interviewing people pretty late in the game (Williams and Holtz). I think I'm a masochist because I think I'm enjoying all the bantering. Maybe the slow period between now and fall is the reason I'm into this.

Fox 13 just reported that he tweeted "Purple!" and got about a thousand "Gold!" back at him.

Don't know what that means.

It means soon enough he'll be Tweeting "Green" and get thousands of "Gold" back at him!

Skip Holtz was back in Greenville on Wednesday, but the chances of him remaining as East Carolina's football coach may be fading.

One day after Holtz publicly stated his interest in the position at South Florida, a source close to the program said the two sides are discussing a deal.

"It's close, but not done yet,'' the source said. "But they're moving in that direction.''

Cant trust all these sources. Its also a product of the overdose of media outlets and other things such as twitter.

Skip Holtz is apparently in Orlando visiting his family and will be traveling to USF tomorrow for some kind of "event".  Not lying...either he's closing the deal with Woolard, or giving a press conference as the new coach.

haha...credible???  I dont know...but its NEWS BABY!!!

I truly believe we'll know by tomorrow, though...
