He was ranked #1 Center in Florida last year! Welcome to USF Danny:

Nebraska OL Transferring To USF

Published: Dec 3, 2004

TAMPA - Nebraska freshman Danny Muy will transfer to South Florida and enroll in January with hopes of playing next season, his stepfather said Thursday.

``Coach [Wally] Burnham and Coach [Greg] Frey deserve a lot of credit,'' said Scott McPherson, Muy's stepfather. ``It was their cumulative effort. I told them `Sorry it took us a year to come to the right decision.' ''

Rated among the nation's top offensive linemen last year as a senior at Tallahassee Lincoln, Muy (6-3, 285) is leaving Nebraska to be closer to his mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Players transferring between Division I-A schools must sit out a season. However, USF will seek an NCAA hardship ruling because of Muy's family situation. If successful, Muy, who redshirted at Nebraska this year, would have four years of eligibility at USF beginning in 2005.

The Bulls must replace three offensive line starters next year. Muy can play center or guard.

Great to have Danny and hope he will be in the lineup in the fall.  Above all, prayers for a complete recovery for his mom.

Amen.

Maybe she can get additional treatment, if needed, on campus at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute which is ranked among the top 10 best in the country.

Yes best of luck for his mom in her battle with cancer. I hope he has a great 4 years here at USF but most of all I hope his mom is in full remission long before he graduates.

Danny Muy

Center

Lincoln High School, Tallahassee, FL

Height: 6' - 4", Weight: 270 lbs.

Danny Muy

Muy played tackle in at Lincoln High in Tallahassee, but most experts project him at a different offensive line position. Muy is the 9th rated center prospect according to Rivals.com, however, he could also be moved to guard at the college level. Muy committed shortly after Bill Callahan’s hire and was Callahan’s first commit as the Nebraska coach.

Danny seems very excited to be headed to Nebraska South Florida. With his current size, Muy is a large individual who has the ability to add weight on his frame. A redshirt season is the most likely route for him in 2004 and it would probably serve him well. However, if there were a rash of offensive line injuries in ’04, he could certainly step in immediately and help out.

-----

He went to Nebraska, but also had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Connecticut, and Florida State.

Welcome to BULL Nation and prayers for your mother.

This should really help solidify our O-Line ... we expect him to be at Center or Guard?

Go BULLS !!!
