:lmao

What an amateur! Everyone knows you're supposed to make a really strong statement about how you would never leave your current job and that you would like to stay there forever. Bonus points if you get pissed off at the media for even suggesting you would leave. And then you leave a few days later.

Ala Nick Saban

And Brian Kelly.

Brian Kelly is the person I was thinking of when reading above.

Brian Kelly handled his situation relatively well compared to guys like Saban, Petrino, and Rich Rodriguez.

a sign of a good coach is a denial of looking at a certain job, and then taking the job.  Good signs for USF

I think he will pit us against ECU and ECU will cough up some more $$$$$.  He stays at ECU and we get leftovers.

ECU has told him there is no more money. He was told this when Cincy and Virginia came calling this year. I doubt he gets a raise at ECU if he decides to stay.

I know a guy, who knows a guy.....Who says the Holtz deal is real close.

I'd be shocked if he is not the new head coach at USF.

I understand he's due $1.8 in 2010 and a big bonus over it . . .

I have a friend-of-a-friend that is a ECU booster.  The word over there is that it's almost a done deal and that they are just working out the contract.

From my source:

i'm hearing it's all but a done deal for skip to be next coach. said it's coming down to contract negotiation.

Obviously, take it with a grain of salt...
