What about recruiting his kid Eric? Do you think that might help at all? This guy says it pretty well here:

"Meanwhile, while Dungy isn't considered a candidate, he was asked by Woolard to speak to the team Monday. After interim coach Carl Franks spoke to the players, Dungy talked about 10 minutes, telling the players to remain together, have confidence in USF's administration to hire an excellent coach, and then reminding them of how the 2002 Bucs went on to win the Super Bowl under Jon Gruden despite Dungy getting fired after the previous season."

No need to recruit his kid to lure Dungy when he can "recruit" him himself if he takes the job.

A longshot, but it would be an unbelievable get.  If Tony does want to get back into coaching, this would be the perfect place for him.  Right down the road from where he lives, the hours are not as demanding for a college coach, and he would have the opportunity to coach his son.  And he doesn't seem to be motivated by money, so USF's budget (or lack thereof) wouldn't be an issue.
