Regardless of what is said about the investigation and what happened and if JL did in fact strike a player, this ultimately came down to money and the school wanting to go in another direction. This was a witch hunt and it gave the university an easy out to get him out of here.

Coach you will be missed and all you have done for our school will not be forgotten by those who have been here supporting since the start.

Go Bulls!

I pretty much agree.  I don't know if we should be depressed or impressed that our athletic department has become this vicious.  Its the mark of a big time program.

It's not going to save USF money down the road, not with the lawsuits that will be filed by Leavitt and by his staff.  Legal fees and likely either big settlements or judgments.

And USF may be asked to apologize to Leavitt as part of that, making us known for witch hunting our coaches because one reporter holds a grudge against them.

Note to the new coach: don't piss off McMurphy because he'll misquote and make stuff up to take you down.  Same for DUImig.

Exactly, thats why this is sort of a double edged sword.

This is not about money, it is not about boosters, it is about a violation of the university rules.

People this is not a conspiracy. Get past it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
