Guest
Never heard of Charlie Strong. This explains alothahaha the ignorance on this board is unbelievable. there IS a world outside of the leavitt regime people.although leavitt has a proven trackrecord of being middle-of-the-road in conference, charlie strong has a proven track record of winning 2 national titles and being a bigtime recruiter as a defensive coordinator..both have questions surrounding them, which is why i ask the questionLou Holtz and Lee Corso would be coaches at Florida and draw top-level talent. It's Florida. What has Charlie done as a HEAD coach? Oh, yeah, nothng.

He's never been a head coach, so we have no idea how well he (and his team) could recruit, have no idea of what type of offense he'd have, no idea of how good of coordinators he could get to work with him. He's been passed over for a few head coaching jobs. At some point, you have to wonder why. Maybe he's not the boywonder everyone makes him out to be.....and he's just a really really good D-Coordinator (nothing wrong with just being that). This. Also he has a different caliber of athlete to work with at UF. Getting Ryne Giddens was a HUGE for our program and a monumental moment, UF gets about a dozen of "Giddens' " ever year. There have been plenty of strong recruiting, great coordinators who got their chance at being a head coach and fell on their faces

See all the coaching turnover last season. So Leavitt
