Dodd incorrectly says USF was ranked No. 2 when it beat West Virginia in 2007. USF was ranked No. 18 going into that game. There are many parallels between that game and Thursday night's game.

Ugh. I'm pretty sure he also says "I think UCF is better," or something to that effect, right at the end.

Dodd needs to get his facts straight.

He said that USF was #2 going into the WVU game two years ago.  That was most certainly not true.  USF was #18 going into that game.

yeah, he made both of those mistakes.  I kind of makes you wonder about these reporters.  We eat, breathe, sleep, and bleed green and gold for USF, but these guys have to pretend they know everything about all the teams--kind of like a corporate manager that just has to sound like he knows what he's doing and make a good powerpoint presentation--the facts are wrong, but it looks and sounds nice.

Either way, he picked the Bulls...that's no mistake.

Dodd's was the first sports columnist ever to put USF in his top 25, even before we were in C-USA, so he should be pretty familiar with who we are.
