Would be nice if Pitt & UWV could get ranked prior to playing them.

Not saying this will happen but Pitt plays UConn today and Rutgers next week. UWV beat SU handily today, then plays Marshall and UConn. Thus both could be 6-1 coming into our games. That would give us 4 out of 5 games with ranked opponents. Then with UM being likely ranked Thanksgiving weekend, that would make our schedule look pretty good.

hard to argue for Pitt to be ranked when they lost to a bad NC State team.

I could see WVU getting ranked.

And I could see UConn getting ranked before the end of the season.  They're a team to be careful around and Edsall always gets them ready.

UConn is looking way better than I expected against Pitt so far in the first half. And Pitt's looking worse than I expected against UConn so far in the first half. :)

pitt already blew it by losing to nc state, we have a better chance of getting uconn ranked at this point imo

you know, the big east is 3 blown 4th quarter leads away from having 5 ranked teams right now... that would have done a lot to change the perception of the league

Wow Bill Stull is looking terrible in this game. 14-3 UConn after a terrible pass that was intercepted and returned for a score.

On the other hand, Dion Lewis, Pitt's freshman running back, looks amazing.

Great game between Pitt and UConn. Looks like Pitt is gonna pull out the win after a very impressive comeback. Bill Stull redeemed himself big time in the fourth quarter.

Why didn't UConn just let Pitt score a TD at first and goal from the five yard line and two minutes on the clock?  Pitt scoring was a foregone conclusion and UConn would get the ball back with just under two minutes.  UConn was screwed either way, but at least they would've gotten the ball back with a chance to tie.
