GRAMATICA INJURED: Senior K Santiago Gramatica suffered a pulled groin in warmups and was replaced by senior kickoff specialist Justin Geisler in the second quarter.

I would have to say that Geisler looks to have a stronger leg than Santiago.  I wouldn't mind seeing him finish out his career at USF as the placekicker.

Since all the kids can go to this game and not worry about being out too late, it would be nice if we could have some sort of family promotion, like bring the whole family for $25 or something.  Hey we would do well on the concessions (oops, Glazer would make out on them).  

We could also give 500 tickets each to a bunch of kids oriented charities and boys/girls clubs. They could auction them off, give them out, whatever - but that would have to be done in the next couple days, I would imagine.

Maybe USF could work a deal with someplace like Denny's or Village INN to set up a tailgate tent serving breakfast and charge a fee that they could split? A pancake breakfast should be cheap to run.

please don't count on the marketing dept. to jump on this with those restaurants.    They are behind the times enough as it is. Still a learning process I guess.

Wouldn't any of the "we could" ideas pretty much hinge on a pent-up demand for tailgating to begin with?

The underyling factor here is that this is Thanksgiving  weekend - the travel weekend of the year - and tailgating around 08:00 - 11:00. I just don't see that much demand realtive to the general public.

Just look at the parking lots for ECU prior to our regularly scheduled game. Empty until just before gametime. A Saturday morning? I doubt it's worth the investment.

Maybe we could set up a tailgate breakfast buffet, charge $5 for anyone to come eat, and donate the money to TheBullsPen?

Eggs, sausages, and spuds are cheap.  We could easily cover our costs and raise a chunk of change at the same time.
